What is a passkey?

A passkey is a secure, passwordless way to sign in to Augment. Instead of entering a password or waiting for a code, your device verifies your identity using biometrics (like Face ID or Touch ID), your device passcode, or your computer login password. The private key never leaves your device, and nothing sensitive is sent over the wire, making passkeys more secure than a password or SMS code.

On iOS, you can use your passkey directly from the login screen. On web, passkeys are available as a second factor after email sign-in.
